The Apocalypse is Very Real; The Houston Astros Move to the A.L West
It’s not set in stone, good people. But the Houston Astros may be moving to the American League West by the 2013 season. How will this affect baseball? Well, personally I think it will give the Oakland Athletics and the Seattle Mariners more wins. Which is good. Although it probably won’t make much of a difference if the Texas Rangers continue their destructive warpath in that divison. The Angels, on the other hand, (should they stay healthy) could also be a hard contender in the A.L West. And rightfully so. Have you seen their line-up?!
Erick Aybar, Bobby Abreu, Peter Bourjos, Torii Hunter, Maicer Izturis, Howard Kendrick, Jeff Mathis, Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo just to name a few. I think where the Angels fail is their pitching. But their line-up is STACKED! Like I said, should they stay healthy they could possibly give the Rangers a run for their money.
Even though the Astros constantly pull up last place in their respective division it will be good to see this change. You know, to shake things up. The N.L Central where the Astros currently reside has six teams. All the other divisions, except the A.L West have five. So this will balance out the A.L West so that every team has five respective teams. I don’t know why this move didn’t happen sooner.
So welcome, Houston. To the Wild Wild West!
