The Death of the Rally Squirrel
I’m unofficially reporting that the St. Louis Cardinals Rally Squirrel is dead. Hence, the Cardinals will yield a World Series win to the Texas Rangers. No, this blog entry is anything but biased. I actually like the Cardinals now. NOT!
If you know me or have ever talked baseball with me you’ll know that I loathe the St. Louis Cardinals. Why? I really don’t know. Well, actually I do know. They act like spoiled babies. Remember when Brandon Phillips talked a bunch of smack in the locker room and then the next day he tapped Yadier Molina’s shin guard with his bat and Molina went crazy? Yeah, that incident also sparked Jason La Rue’s early retirement. Like he had a career anyway.
And then all that nonsense with Nyjer Morgan? Yeah, Morgan is hard to handle and he’s a ticking time bomb. But he’s an amazing athlete. My point is this; the Cardinals throw at players and then when they get thrown at it’s all a huge issue. I wish Bud Selig would realign the NL Central and place the Cardinals somewhere in…Cuba. Or Novia Scotia.
Here’s to you, Rally Squirrel. I hope you cross the street during rush hour!
