To Say the Yankees Outslug the Orioles in a Headline is Ridiculous

Not to bad-mouth the Orioles or anything but this headline I read on MLB.com earlier is quite ridiculous. The only category the Orioles are beating the Yankees in is doubles. And not by much. (225-229) I didn’t actually follow the game or read the highlights of the game that MLB was taking about but really, folks. The Orioles are fighting for last place in the AL East standings. They were out of the play-off race by mid-July. And not only all of that? But if you ask anyone that doesn’t live in Baltimore about the Orioles they will say one of two things; either A) Orioles who? or B) They suck.

With a new skipper onboard, Buck Showalter, it seemed like the Orioles had some hope. They finished strong last year but this year it seems hopeless for those Birds again. And it just seems a little unfair for MLB to post headlines about two teams that are so much apart. The Yankees have it pretty easy though. The only real team they have to worry about are those pesky Redsox. My honest opinion about the AL East? Its full of teams that the Yankees seem to be able to beat up on like a big school yard bully.
