C.C Sabathia Can’t Tame Those Bosox
What in the world is going on with C.C Sabathia when he steps foot into Fenway park? You see..I’m a superstitious kind of guy. I believe in curses and doing the same thing before a baseball games to keep myself from getting jinxed. Kind of like after a pitcher completes six innings and has a no-hitter, he sits on the end of the bench by himself and no one talks to him. He’s in the zone. You don’t want to break his concentration. It’s just how things go. Now we all know the Redsox ran the Curse of the Bambino off in 2004 by sweeping the St Louis Cardinals in the World Series that year. But maybe the Curse of the Bambino is still lingering but maybe it’s somehow reversed? And remember that guy that put a David Ortiz jersey into the foundation of the New Yankee stadium? Maybe that has something to do with it.
So what is Sabathia’s problem when he pitches against the Yankees? He’s 0-4 against them this year…and they just rake hits off of him. (and runs) I can’t really figure it out. I mean, the Yankees are stacked with quite a bit of talent. But so are a lot of other teams and Sabathia seems to keep his cool while facing them. Sabathia is facing the Yankees today and going into today’s game he is 17-7 with an ERA of 2.99. The Redsox have to be excited to be facing him because they could use the win.
