I Couldn’t Help to Laugh When the Yankees Signed Aaron Laffey.
Seriously. Why did Seattle dump this guy? He’s always had an ERA hovering around four. When he first came into the league in 2007 he posted a 4.56 ERA. It never really got that much better. Another question to Seattle; why sign him in the first place? Sure, I’m not a Major League Baseball scout so maybe someone saw potential in Laffey that I’m not seeing. Personally? An ERA of over four is garbage. But we’ve all see worse. Question for New York; why sign Laffey after years of posting average numbers? I’m sure there’s no doubt that Laffey is excited to be a Yankee. Who doesn’t want to be on a winning team?
I’m just so confused why New York signed Aaron Laffey.
Maybe I’m not paying much attention to the Yankees injury
report. Maybe they’re just trying to fill the bullpen with some
inning eaters. Laffey fits the bill. Does he not? He’s not a good
-set up man…but you know what’s going to happen, don’t you?
It’s happening to Freddy Garcia right now. And it happened to Tino
Martinez, Jeff Nelson, Randy Johnson, and Alex Rodriguez. Laffey,
like every other baseball player that formerly wore a Mariners uniform
will have an awesome season. As a loyal Mariners fan I’ve seen it too many
times.
But guess what, Aaron Laffey? The joke is actually on you. Because where you’re at right now? You won’t be doing any of this anymore…
Seattle still loves you though.
